Louisiana Water Company - Water Quality Report

Louisiana Water Company (LAWCO) provides water service to the communities we serve from various sources. The groundwater in New Iberia, Avery Island, Crowley, Eunice and Loreauville comes from the Chicot Aquifer. The groundwater for DeQuincy and Mansura comes from the Evangeline Aquifer. The groundwater in Lecompte comes from the Williamson Creek Aquifer. Each water treatment plant operation uses water wells as their source of production. The New Iberia, Crowley and Eunice water treatment plants add lime to the water to reduce the hardness and remove inorganic constituents such as iron and manganese.  The DeQuincy and Lecompte water systems have wells of suitable quality to pump water directly into the system. In Mansura, we purchase the water you drink from the Avoyelles Water Commission (AWC). The Avery Island and Village of Loreauville communities get 100% of their water from the New Iberia water treatment plant.

We prepare and present an Annual Consumer Confidence Report which is a water quality report designed to inform you of the quality of your water and services we deliver to you every day.
